Behind the flashy performance for the audience to be bemused in a circus - Emu (not her real name) leads a life beyond social norms and dignity. Stolen Years traces behind Emu and children like her from remote Bangladesh, who enrolled in a painful life even before knowing or of much choice!

"Each day of the last six years, I have realized that if I fall, I will die!" says Emu, aged 12, a trapeze artist working in a popular circus troupe. For a twelve year old, this is a realisation of her existence, at the cost of her childhood, teens & rest. Stolen Years traces behind the flashing lights of the circus tent to question life, the truth behind it!
